Toivo Family and Community Initiative is a Nigerian non-governmental organisation registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (RC: 9234957), based in Abuja, Nigeria. We operate at toivoinitiative.org. For data protection enquiries, contact us at info@toivoinitiative.org.
2. What Data We Collect
We collect personal data only when you voluntarily submit it through our website. The forms through which we collect data are:
- Contact form, name, email address, organisation (optional), and message
- Volunteer application form, name, email address, organisation (optional), and message
- Newsletter signup form, email address only
We do not collect data through cookies, tracking pixels, advertising networks, or any passive data collection mechanism. We do not collect payment data directly, donations are processed through Paystack's secure platform.
3. How We Store Your Data
Form submissions are processed and stored through Netlify Forms, a service provided by Netlify, Inc. Data is transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Netlify's data practices are governed by their own privacy policy and data processing agreement. Toivo does not operate its own database for storing form submissions.
4. How We Use Your Data
Data submitted through our contact and volunteer forms is used solely to respond to your enquiry or application. Data submitted through our newsletter signup form is used solely to send you publications and updates from Toivo. We do not use submitted data for any other purpose.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for commercial or marketing purposes. Your data is not disclosed to any external organisation except as required by law or where strictly necessary for the operation of our website infrastructure (e.g., our hosting provider, Netlify).
6. Your Rights Under the NDPR
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) 2019, you have the right to:
- Request access to personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent for us to contact you at any time

We retain form submission data only as long as necessary to respond to enquiries and fulfil the purpose for which it was collected. Newsletter subscription data is retained until you request removal from our list.
